Preparation of homemade bread, with seeds, without leaving home and with all the flavor of the wood oven.
On this occasion we prepare the spelled bread, as it is healthy and very tasty. We will prepare other breads and present them on this website, because the kamado allows you to create the bread in an exquisite way.
500 gr. of spelled flour.
10 gr. of baking powder.
400 ml. of water.
1 teaspoon of salt.
4 or 5 nuts.
Seeds of sunflower, pumpkin, sesame, flax and / or poppy (to one's taste).
Although, as if it were the gala village of Asterix and Obelix, still survive some artisanal ovens that prepare quality breads, who else and who least will have met more than once with industrial breads, precooked or not, that have nothing to see with those of yesteryear. To avoid these unpleasant surprises, nothing better than preparing ourselves our own bread at home with our love of cooking, the kamado ... And with a recipe nothing complicated for which it is enough to follow these simple steps!
To begin, pour the flour, yeast, salt and water in a bowl (it is important that the water is warm) and mix well until a dough forms. The resulting dough is covered with a cloth and left to rest in the bowl for one or two hours to ferment and increase its volume.
While the dough rests, the kamado is ignited and brought to a temperature of 250 Â° C, we place the baffle on the embers, the pizza stone on the grill and stabilize the temperature at about 200Â°C.
Once the dough has settled, the nuts are chopped, added and kneaded a little so that the pieces are distributed inside (be careful with eating them before adding them to the dough!). It is given the desired shape, the seeds are added on top, cuts are made with a sharp knife and baked in the kamado for about 50 minutes. Before placing the dough in the kamado, it is very important to place a small bowl of water on the deflector. In this way, we will increase the humidity inside and favor the formation of the bark. Beware of the bowl material, it must be able to withstand high temperatures. For the rest, and as you can see, there are no great secrets to bake in our own home a delicious bread, healthy, natural and with a taste that will remind us of traditional ovens.
